International Women’s Day (IWD) is March 8. It’s a day where the world comes together to celebrate the achievements of women, make progress toward gender parity and take action to end discrimination in all its forms.
This year’s theme for International Women’s Day is #EmbraceEquity. While “equality” is the ultimate goal for a world free of gender disparity, “equity” is the path we need to get us there—recognizing that everyone’s circumstances and opportunities are different and embracing what makes us each unique.
Learn more about this year’s theme and join the conversation online by sharing your commitment to equity on your social channels. Be sure to include #AECOMvoices, #EmbraceEquity and #IWD2023. You can also look for activities to support IWD in your local office. Whether it’s a panel featuring women in your office or a watch party for a regional event, it’s a great opportunity to connect with your colleagues.
