“Travel healthy and alert; perform to the best”
Wellness being a mantra in many organisations across the globe, I see an absolute relevance of its implementation in one’s life.
For many of us, our profession demands lots of business travels, hence it is important to continually be fit and energetic to fulfil their day to day aspirations while they perform their duties. Frequent occurrences of physical exercises being skipped while in travel accompanied by being sleep deprived could take a significant toll on our health.
Early flight departures, the rush in the airports, skipping breakfast, and compromising sleep hours tend to get many of us fatigued and could make us less alert on the day’s session that should be productive.
It is essential for anyone to have a minimum of 6 to 7 hours of sleep consistently for repair and restoration of the body. This would not only help the individuals to maintain a good balance in both their personal and professional routines but also help the individuals render support to people around them.
Deferring early morning meeting schedules with the stakeholders, if not previous day evening travels could be thought about. These attempts make the next day start fresh and ensure adequate sleep at night. Healthy eating habits, hydrating the body with fluid intake and conscious deep-breathing are a few consistent measures during travel that one should practice.
